Brisbane-founded startup Skedulo closed its $39.1 million Series B round, led by Microsoft’s venture fund M12 in 2019. It’s the second Aussie firm to receive capital from M12 - both of which were founded in Queensland. At the same time Skedulo closed its first seven-figure customer contract.
Founded in 2014 by Matt Fairhurst and James Davies, Skedulo offers a software-as-a-service business that provides web and mobile applications to help enterprises and organisations manage and optimise mobile workforces, and simplify complex scheduling and work assignments. It is built for the modern workforce.
The applications are capable of helping businesses to automatically match the right employee to a job based on priorities specified by the company, increase internal efficiencies, improve the customer experience and make it easy for organisations to securely move confidential data with ease and confidence.
Skedulo has already been adopted to manage mobile workforces in a range of industries, including healthcare, aged care and disability service providers, where staff are regularly offsite attending various residences or facilities in one work day.
On average, Skedulo reports that customers experience a 48% reduction in time to schedule, 28% increase in visibility of work execution, 21% increase in resource utilisation per day and 8% increase in customer satisfaction.
Going forward, they plan to offer new analytics tools to offer further insights for users, and integrations with third-party services such as payroll, financial and HR management tools to make it a seamless experience all-round.
Although Skedulo’s headquarters is now located overseas, the startup still has teams in Australia with its biggest team based in Brisbane.
CEO and co-founder Mr Fairhust says it’s their goal to see the management platform continue to grow and be adopted across the market.
