Chief for a day takes off!

Earlier this year, the OQCE decided to test the waters with our Chief Champion program. The concept was simple: hand over the keys to our social media channels to startups, entrepreneurs and innovators in the ecosystem for a whole day. We’d take a step back to hear directly from everyone out there “doing the doing” as the Chief, er, the Leanne Kemp Chief that is, likes to say.

What we have loved is how everyone has embraced this takeover day. We’ve had so many people putting their hands up and so many messages and comments supporting our Chief Champions. We’ve also been absolutely flawed by the generosity of the ecosystem not just to let us inside your companies and see what goes into being an entrepreneur, but also in supporting others out there who are giving it a go.

From dressing up as Leanne to sharing exercise routines and lunchbox prep, and following money around a local community, taking us on a digital roadshow of Brisbane, some killer dancing and who could forget naming a lamb after Leanne (editor’s note: we’ve renamed the lamb Lee-Lamb - say it out loud, it works!) it has been one incredible journey around Queensland.

While we’ve still got some great people lined up to take over and share their stories, we realised we’ve just hit 21 takeovers so we thought we’d hit pause to say a big THANK YOU!
