"Network, network, network," is The Chief's advice for entrepreneurs looking to succeed and Digital Brisbane, Fishburners and Little Tokyo Two were only too happy to oblige by hosting a super cool networking event In the Mix at The Capital on March 22. The Capital is as central as it's name suggests and can be found by heading to 155 Queen Street Mall and entering via the lifts at the back of the Visitor Centre in The Regent Theatre next door to Zara.
Startups and entrepreneurs from all over Brisbane converged to connect with like-minded individuals to meet new faces, talk shop and take some time-out in Fishburner's fabulous purpose-designed event space that the OQCE turned into the coolest venue in town for two hours.
While the DJ mixed it up to set the vibe, guests were encouraged to self-select if they were a Founder, a Techie, a Hustler or just Seeking New Ops and to label themselves accordingly. They also had the option of writing any 'Needs or Wants" that they had in mind that others could help them with.
The writing on the wall says it all: Make It Happen. By taking a little bit of time to get out there and put yourself in the mix, you're opening yourself up to new people, ideas and opportunities that aren't going to come and land in your inbox by themselves. We'll be mixing it up again soon and looking forward to meeting you there!
